I use french onion soup and beef consomme when making a roast in my slow cooker and love the nice flavor it adds to the beef so knew it would be great in a rice dish. Added some onion powder and did not use the green onion for garnish. Served with a marinated grilled chuck roast and the rice was as good as the roast. Will be making this again and maybe adding some mushrooms. Thank you for sharing with us. Made and reviewed for the Pick Me! recipe tag game.

I could not find French onion soup in the supermarket as it is summer here, so used chicken soup and chicken consommé, and it really turned out quite nice. I followed everything else as per recipe, abut really want to try this again with the French onion soup as I think it would be really good.

I liked that this rice is beefy and rich and can see that it would pare great with different cuts of beef. Therefore, it would pare well with a roast and it would surely compliment your Holiday table. It was especially good with the scallions, as it gave it a nice fresh taste. We enjoyed this rice tonight maDonna, so thank you very much for sharing!
