"This has been around for quite a few years; but, always good. Easy to prepare and always a favorite. Now, to make this quick and easy ... I used a store bought biscuit dough; and, I even used store bought meatballs. But, by all means, use your own homemade versions. Just remember, keep the meatballs small, if you make your own. Simply wrap up the meatballs and cheese with the biscuit; bake, and serve with a warm marinara sauce. Perfect game night food, potluck; or movie night with friends."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Biscuits, Meatballs, and Cheese ... Pull the biscuits apart in 2 pieces (top and bottom) and set to the side. Cut the thawed meatballs in half; and, for the cheese. Cut in 1/2" squares.

Step 2

Add the cheese to the center of the bottom biscuit half and top with the meatball half, flat side down. Wrap or pull the biscuit up around the meatball. Roll around, and pinch the seams to make sure they are all sealed. Then, add to a 9" round pan (not greased), seam side down. You should be able to get 16 in 1 pan.

Step 3

Topping and Bake ... Mix the parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder together; and, sprinkle over the biscuits. Bake on the middle shelf for approximately 20 minutes, in a 375 degree oven, until golden brown. My oven takes almost 25 minutes.

Step 4

Garnish, Serve, and ENJOY! ... Remove from the pan, pull them apart and plate; and, garnish with fresh parsley, and a bowl of the warm marinara sauce (I warm mine up in the microwave). It is an easy, but delicious appetizer. Great for a game night, party, football game, etc. Nothing fancy, nothing difficult, but always good!

It's certainly the time of year for gatherings and food that is finger friendly and easy on the cook's time. Two reasons to try this delicious recipe, but the flavors will keep it in a handy recipe file year round. For a trial run, we used the small can of biscuits (5 count) and small frozen turkey meatballs. The were really too small to halve (about 1 inch in diameter), which I realize now, so future forays will use the whole meatball in each mini-bite. Excellent for groups of family and/or friends ready to cheer their teams or catch up on what's new. As filling as a mini slider, but easier. Thanks, KC.
