Step by Step Method

FOR THE SCALLOPS


Step 1

Cut bacon in half crosswise. Wrap each scallop in a piece of bacon, and secure with a toothpick.

Step 2

Place scallops on a rack in a broiler pan; brush with Lemon-Chive sauce. Broil 6 inches from the heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until the scallops are opaque and the bacon is done, turning occasionally. Serve immediately.

FOR THE LEMON CHIVE SAUCE


Step 3

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well with a wire whisk until blended.

I fried my bacon a little before wrapping my scallops to make sure they would be crisp enough for us. All I can say is try them! Double Yum from us scallop lovers!

This is certainly a Tried-and-True classic dish that proves that it is still as good as when it was first invented. There's a reason why it is still popular and it's because it is so darn good. The sauce brought these babies to another dimension. I did pre-cook the bacon slightly before wrapping around the scallops, so as to have the bacon crisped and scallops done perfectly. Thank you, Breezer, for sharing this recipe with us.
