Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a small bowl mash the avocado flesh with the with lime or lemon juice, kosher salt and black pepper (to taste) into a spread like consistency (you can leave it a little more coarse if you prefer).

Step 2

Sprinkle with a little extra black pepper, and enjoy as a spread on your preferred base.

Perfect in its simplicity. I used the lime. Just ate it from a spoon, but you could scoop it with tortilla chips or use with almost any sandwich topping and it would be great.

Make this often for DH who loves avocados and would much rather spread avocado on breads than anything else. So delicious and has the added benefit of heart-healthy fats and nutrients. Thanks for posting Tisme - this is a regular at our house!
