Asparagus with Thyme

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400f degrees. Wash and Snap the tough ends off the asparagus and place in an oven proof dish.

Step 2

Drizzle the olive oil over and sprinkle with the thyme and salt and freshly ground pepper. Toss gently and roast for 20 minutes.

Step 3

Alternately, place all as above into a microwave dish and microwave covered on high for 2 minutes.

I made this on 3/30 as a side to go with our Beef Tips dinner. Before getting on with the review,I must say that I've never cooked fresh asparagus before and this was a very good recipe to use. Both my SO and I enjoyed the taste and the bake time gave it a good texture. Every time I make this I'm going to think of you. " Keep Smiling :) "

Bergy (RIP" Forever in our Kitchen)

I have tried so many different ways to roast asparagus and this way - light spray of olive oil thyms, garlic, salt and pepper is right up there with the best. I only roasted them for 10 minutes, they were hot through and still had lots of crunch. Served with honey carrots and ham steak.
