Step by Step Method
Step 1
Thoroughly mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.

Stir milk into egg yolks and mix well.

Gradually stir egg mixture into dry ingredients.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Step 5
Boil and stir 1 minute.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, almond extract, and toasted almonds.
Step 7
