Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan
Step 3
Sift flour with dry ingredients (-nutmeg) in a large bowl and then set aside.
Step 4
In a large bowl of an electric mixer combine the brown sugar, eggs and butter and beat at high speed for 3 minutes. Stir in the rest of the ingredients ( - marmalade). Add the dry ingredients mixture a little at a time, stirring well after each addition -- batter will be stiff.
Step 5
Add batter to the prepared pan and bake until tester inserted in center comes out clean - 70 minutes.
Step 6
Let cool completely before slicing.
