"Japanese street food/ pork with noodles."

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice wine, and sugar, stirring to dissolve.

Step 2

Cook noodles in boiling water about 8 minutes, or until tender.

Step 3

Drain noodles and rinse under cold water.

Step 4

In a large deep skillet or wok, cook onion in oil for about 3 minutes.

Step 5

Add the cabbage, carrot and ginger and cook until cabbage is softened, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 6

Add the pork and cook for 2 minutes more.

Step 7

Cover the mixture with noodles and pour the sauce over all.

Step 8

Cover and cook for 3-5 minutes, the remove the lid and toss the mixture together until it is well combined.

Step 9

Place on a serving platter and garnish with chopped scallions, if desired.

Wow! This is so yummy...I cut the recipe in half because there's just two of us...and I have at least another serving for leftovers...I can see adding small pieces of broccoli to the dish...we really enjoyed this...it's a keeper...thanks for posting it...made for "Alphabet" tag game...

Great dinner choice! I used udon noodles and really enjoyed my first time having them. Leftovers were enjoyed very much too!
