Step by Step Method
Step 1
Fry bacon in a large stockpot, and remove.
Step 2
Leave 3 tablespoons bacon grease in the pot.
Step 3
Saute onions, celery and peppers and season lightly.
Step 4
Cook until translucent.
Step 5
Add wild rice, mushroom soup and parsley; rinse out can with chicken broth.
Step 6
Add mushrooms and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Add clams and 1/2 & 1/2 cream, don't boil, just heat.
Step 8
Add bacon.
