Step 1: Fry bacon in a large stockpot, and remove.
Step 2: Leave 3 tablespoons bacon grease in the pot.
Step 3: Saute onions, celery and peppers and season lightly.
Step 4: Cook until translucent.
Step 5: Add wild rice, mushroom soup and parsley; rinse out can with chicken broth.
Step 6: Add mushrooms and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 7: Add clams and 1/2 & 1/2 cream, don't boil, just heat.
Step 8: Add bacon.
