Walnut Chocolate Chip Pie Bars

"I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Walnut Chocolate Chip Pie,and you might have even eaten it. Well,this is just like that but in bar form. If you don't want the Walnuts,just sub it with Pecans.Both baking times are included in " Cook Time " This makes 28 bars,but I guess if you want smaller pieces cut into 36.Posted to " ZAZZ " on 2/12/15. Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

In a medium size bowl,whisk together flour and powdered sugar.

Step 3

Cut in butter until it looks like small peas or crumbled cornbread.

Step 4

Press mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan which has been prepared with cooking spray and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 5

Remove and let cool.

Step 6

Meanwhile in another medium size bowl,mix together condensed milk,egg,and vanilla.

Step 7

Then stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.

Step 8

Pour evenly over baked crust and bake for another 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 9

Cool completely and cut into desired amount of squares.

Easy to make and easy to eat too! They are a chocolate lovers dream!

These were good, but I think I like the Congo Bars better, because the chocolate chips are mixed into the batter instead of having all the chocolate in the center. A tad too sweet for me!

Some neighbors were coming over for a visit so I wanted to whip something up for a sweet to offer them. These looked too good to pass up. I used chopped pecans in mine. Oh mylanta, these are good y'all!
