Very tasty easy recipe. The hardest part is rolling the balls. When I had everything mixed together following the recipe it was too dry to hold together. I did not take off a star for having to add 1/2 cup more liquid because I thought the cause may have been the wafers (Christie's Nila Vanilla Wafer 232 Gram)may have been drier. Instead of rolling the balls in sugar I rolled them in chopped nuts. When you make the almond syrup be careful how much almond extract you add - there is already a whole teaspoon in the recipe. This recipe is a lovely addition to my Christmas treats. !6 March 2014 Just took the last out of the freezer. They really mellow and are super good. You can eat them right away or wait just about 5 minutes for them to defrost. We love them

Finally got to making these for the Billboard recipe game, and all I can say is DELICIOUS, YUMMY and everything like that, we all loved these and no extra heat coming from the oven which makes them great for the summer months, I couldn't find almond syrup so I used 1/4 cup white Karo and some almonds extract, thank you AcadiaToo
