Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (unsifted)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)
  • 1 cup butter (or margarine)
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk (no evaporated milk)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips (I used Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a medium size bowl,whisk together flour and powdered sugar.

  • Step 3: Cut in butter until it looks like small peas or crumbled cornbread.

  • Step 4: Press mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan which has been prepared with cooking spray and bake for 15 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove and let cool.

  • Step 6: Meanwhile in another medium size bowl,mix together condensed milk,egg,and vanilla.

  • Step 7: Then stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.

  • Step 8: Pour evenly over baked crust and bake for another 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Step 9: Cool completely and cut into desired amount of squares.
