Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl and blend well.
Step 2
Heat beer and oil together in a small sauce pan until warmed (110° F.).
Step 3
Add to flour mixture.
Step 4
Mix in eggs and blend at low speed until moistened, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
Step 5
By hand, stir in walnuts and enough of the remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
Step 6
Spoon into two well-greased 8"x4" loaf pans.
Step 7
Cover loosely with greased plastic wrap.
Step 8
Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30-40 minutes.
Step 9
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 10
Bake 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 11
Remove from pans immediately and cool on wire racks.
