"I have always enjoyed making my own salad dressings. The store-bought ones are full of additives and you never know what is really in there. This is one I came up with and really enjoy. I hope you will too. This keeps for quite a while."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a 1 litre jar and screw on the lid.

Step 2

Shake well and allow refrigerating overnight before using.

Step 3

Shake well before each use.

I made a Cobb Salad and used this dressing on it. I made the dressing and let it sit for several hours for the ingredients to mingle. I used a vidalia onion and with its mild flavor this dressing was so good. I don't know as I would use a red onion on this, as they are much stronger in flavor. I think it would take over the rest of the ingredients. My hubby really liked it which is a plus and a guarantee that it will be repeated.

Excellent dressing! Great sweet/tart combo. I had to use dark corn syrup for this, as it is all I had on hand. I also halved the recipe. Will definately be making this again! Thanks Bea for sharing. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
