Step by Step Method

Step 1

Drain beans, reserving 2 tablespoons of the liquid per 16 oz can.

Step 2

Cook bacon and onion until lightly browned.

Step 3

Add reserved bean liquid, beans, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper; heat thoroughly.

Step 4

Spoon into serving dish; sprinkle with cheese.

This made for a great side for my evening meal. I used my freshly picked awesome Seychelles green Pole beans and subbed the Stilton cheese with Feta because that was what I had on hand. It is a repeatable, adding to my 'Favourites Cookbook'
