"This recipe can be used for any pieces of chicken you have. It is delicious and comes together quickly. I found it in a taste of home cookbook by Patricia Weir of Chilliwack, British Columbia. I have changed the recipe, but I am giving her credit for the delicious sauce."

Slice onions and bell peppers, layer half on the bottom of the crock pot, layer the rest over the chicken. Sprinkle chicken with cajun seasoning and salt and pepper if desired. Place in a chicken in crock pot, cover with the rest of the onions and bell peppers.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and flour. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for about 2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Pour over the chicken and veggies. Place cover on crock pot and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over hot noodles or rice.
