Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 275°F. In bowl, create spice rub by combining sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, 1 tablespoon salt, and 2 teaspoon pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Place ribs on rimmed baking sheet. Spread with mustard, then sprinkle with 3/4 cup spice rub. Pour apple juice onto sheet, cover tightly with foil, and bake until meat is tender and easily pulls away from bone, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Step 3

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, whisk together ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and remaining 1/2 cup spice rub. Transfer 1/2 cup mixture to bowl.

Step 4

Ten minutes before ribs are done, heat grill to medium-high. Grill ribs, basting with ketchup mixture and turning occasionally, until they begin to char, 5 to 6 minutes. Cut into pieces and serve with reserved sauce for dipping.

Easy way to do ribs. My racks of ribs were 3 1/2 pounds each, so I increased the rub and sauce a bit. They were delicious right out of the oven if you don't want to fire up the grill. I did put mine on the grill for a bit thought for the smokey flavor. Thanks for sharing!
