Step by Step Method
Step 1
Dressing: In a small bowl whisk together sour cream, buttermilk, cilantro, chives, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, salt and hot sauce. Chill until ready to use.
Step 2
Salad: Line a large serving platter with salad greens.
Step 3
In a medium bowl combine black beans, corn, jicama, tomato and red onion. Spoon mixture over greens.
Step 4
Arrange avocado and jalapeno pepper slices over bean mixture.
Step 5
Top with chips, salsa, cheese and cooked chicken or shrimp.
Step 6
Drizzle with Cilantro-Ranch Dressing.
