"My favorite salad of all time is the Southwest Salad from McDonald's—I adore it! Whenever I order it, I always ask for extra cilantro glaze, beans, and corn. In fact, my own recipe reflects my love for these ingredients. I typically add about 1/8 cup of canned corn and black beans, although they unfortunately don't allow me to include that on their menu. You can add Newman's Southwest Salad Dressing, I don't."

We loved this salad. I especially loved the corn, beans, and red pepper mixed right in with the dressing. Thank you for the yummy and healthy recipe for a quick dinner!

I used 1/2 of a 15 ounce can of black beans and about a cup of frozen corn. Only used romaine lettuce mix, no spinach. I had left over beef and mexican rice from a restaurant meal, so I used those in the salad. We really liked the combination of all the ingredients. Next time will add some chopped sweet onion.
