Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat broiler to high.

Step 2

In a cup or bowl combine first 4 ingredients (garlic powder - pepper) plus 1/4 teaspoon salt. Brush the fish with oil and then sprinkle with the spice mixture and then place the fish on a baking sheet and broil for 5-10 minutes or until fish is done and flakes easily when pierced with a fork.

Step 3

In a bowl combine 1/8 teaspoon salt, cilantro, chiles and avocado and mash with a fork.

Step 4

Heat the tortillas on a grill pan coated with cooking spray for under a minute on each side or until charred.

Step 5

Divide the avocado mixture and fish among the tortillas and serve with lime wedges, if desired.

For anyone afraid that these tacos might be spicy, they are not! Wonderful flaky fish with a nice smokey taste. The avocado mixture is the perfect topping. We also added a bit of sour cream.
