Step by Step Method

Step 1

Soak Apple wood chips in cold water for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat barbecue to the temperature of 220°F.

Step 3

Drain apple wood chips and place them on the grill.

Step 4

Coat the apples liberally with the Walnut oil and place them on preheated grill.

Step 5

Cook for about a 1 hour or until apples are deeply browned and soft.

Step 6

Remove from grill and set aside until cool enough to handle.

Step 7

Peel apples and cut into bit size chunks.

Step 8

Combine apples, celery, raisins and walnuts in a bowl.

Step 9

In another smaller bowl combine mayo, yogurt, lime juice and sugar.

Step 10

Pour over apple mixture, mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
