Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds apples (4 apples)
  • Walnut oil
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup yogurt (plain)
  • 3 limes, whole (juice of 3 limes)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Soak Apple wood chips in cold water for 30 minutes.

  • Step 2: Preheat barbecue to the temperature of 220°F.

  • Step 3: Drain apple wood chips and place them on the grill.

  • Step 4: Coat the apples liberally with the Walnut oil and place them on preheated grill.

  • Step 5: Cook for about a 1 hour or until apples are deeply browned and soft.

  • Step 6: Remove from grill and set aside until cool enough to handle.

  • Step 7: Peel apples and cut into bit size chunks.

  • Step 8: Combine apples, celery, raisins and walnuts in a bowl.

  • Step 9: In another smaller bowl combine mayo, yogurt, lime juice and sugar.

  • Step 10: Pour over apple mixture, mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
