"I was having a " MAJOR " Pierogi craving and this recipe is the result of what I did about it.If you are worried about the health content,feel free to use fat free and low salt ingredients. But,if you do the taste won't be the same.Also you might need to increase the amount of oil used to brown the sausage. I know it seems like a lot of meat for just two servings,but this recipe is for people with a hefty appetite.If you like, you can serve with a bit of sour cream that has some horseradish sauce mixed in." Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large frying pan,heat oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.

Step 2

Add onions, stirring occasionally until slightly softened.

Step 3

Place smoked sausage in with onion,and cook until slightly browned.

Step 4

Sprinkle garlic powder and pepper over meat/onion mixture, stir well to combine seasonings.

Step 5

Add green beans and water,turn heat to low,cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Place pierogi on top of green beans and meat and this point you might need a bit more water to steam the pierogi properly.

Step 7

Recover and simmer until pierogi are done.
