Step 1: In a large frying pan,heat oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
Step 2: Add onions, stirring occasionally until slightly softened.
Step 3: Place smoked sausage in with onion,and cook until slightly browned.
Step 4: Sprinkle garlic powder and pepper over meat/onion mixture, stir well to combine seasonings.
Step 5: Add green beans and water,turn heat to low,cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 6: Place pierogi on top of green beans and meat and this point you might need a bit more water to steam the pierogi properly.
Step 7: Recover and simmer until pierogi are done.
