Savory Sauteed Apples
"These savory apples are equally at home for breakfast with oatmeal or as a side dish for roast pork or turkey. The key is to not overdo it with the sugar or the spices and let the natural sweetness of the apples be the star. Rub cut apples with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown or store them in a bowl of cold water with lemon. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for a crowd. Adapted from Chef Virginia Willis' cookbook, "Bon Appetit, Y'all"."
