Step by Step Method

Step 1

Add 1/2 tablespoons of oil to a skillet over medium high heat. Brown sausage on both cut sides. Set aside.

Step 2

Add remaining oil to skillet over medium heat. Add sliced peppers and onions and stir occasionally until lightly browned, about 7 – 9 minutes. Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper, if desired.

Step 3

Push peppers to side of skillet. Add sausage to the other side of skillet.Place left over mashed potatoes in the center of skillet and flatten out with back of spoon.

Step 4

Cook on medium low heat until everything is warmed. Adjust seasonings and serve.
