Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan and cook the onions until they turn translucent.

Step 2

Add tomato paste and cook, don't burn.

Step 3

Add water rinsing the can with the water.

Step 4

Then add canned tomatoes, smooshing them up a bit before you let them cook down for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Add minced parsley and basil at very end.

This sauce is delicious! I used diced tomatoes and dried herbs, and some crushed garlic. This a fast and easy. Made it the day before eating for the flavours to meld. Served this over Soba noodles. Thank you Dienia for another keeper recipe!
