  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups onions chopped
  • 6 ounces tomato paste (1 can)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 28 ounces whole tomatoes (1 can)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan and cook the onions until they turn translucent.

  • Step 2: Add tomato paste and cook, don't burn.

  • Step 3: Add water rinsing the can with the water.

  • Step 4: Then add canned tomatoes, smooshing them up a bit before you let them cook down for 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add minced parsley and basil at very end.
