"FROM MIDGIE KNIGHT RECIPE BOOK. This is amazing and easy peasy. If you like sweet and sour you will probably like this. You get the chili sauce near the ketchup. I served it with my rice pilaf and it was perfect."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Roll the meat into little balls and brown in hot oil.

Step 2

Add veggies (more bell peppers is a plus) and saute until soft.

Step 3

Add soup, water and chili sauce and simmer for 2 hours (it seems too long, I think 15 minutes would be plenty until sauce is tight), 25 minutes stirring occasionally.

An old fashioned recipe similar to one of our long time favourites which saw us enjoy. I too agree to the cutback of the oil as well as timing on the original recipe. Being super busy I put it it the oven to finish, for me it was about 25 minutes. Served with rice and a green salad for the end of a long outdoor day!
