Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a heavy pot, over medium-high heat , brown sausage well-break up the sausage as its browning and scrape the bits off the bottom-then sprinkle lightly with seasoning.
Step 2
Turn down the heat to medium and slowly add the milk and cream, mixing constantly.
Step 3
Bring to a boil and turn heat down to simmer-cook, stirring often, until the gravy is thickened ( if too thick, add a bit more milk).
Step 4
Add a bit more seasoning at the end, if needed.
