Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.

Step 2

Cream together butter and sugar.

Step 3

Beat in eggs and vanilla.

Step 4

Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, then stir in oats and raisins.

Step 5

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6

Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 7

Cool one minute, then remove cookies from pan and finish cooling on wire racks.

  • Baking time is 40-50 minutes total, baking one pan at a time.

A classic dependable oatmeal cookie recipe. They are soft, chewy; everything you would want in an oatmeal raisin cookie. They are definitely “vanishing” in my house! :) Delicious!
