"Not the traditional barbecue sauce, more Greek. "4 broiler-fryer chickens, cut up into pieces" was how they worded it. I'm going with thighs but could use leg and thighs. Season to taste. They were all shaking salt all over everything back then. Folks have used this a rotisserie chicken."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Melt margarine in saucepan.(could use margarine and olive oil)
Step 2
Stir in lemon juice, garlic salt, (and garlic powder it's too salty for today's recipe), oregano and paprika.
Step 3
Put pieces of chicken in Tupperware (or ziplock bags. Everyone back in the day went to Tupperware parties and everyone had them) to marinate in, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.(Go lightly on this one)
Step 4
Pour marinade over the chicken and cover it.
Step 5
Marinate overnight, turning over occasionally.
Step 6
Place on grill above hot coals.
Step 7
Cook until tender, occasionally turning and brushing with marinade.
Step 8
Allow 45-75 minutes total cooking time, depending on size of chicken and distance from the coals.
