"Pumpkin bread is a popular gift among the many Native American tribes in Oklahoma. It said you may use walnuts, but I think Oklahoma has more pecans. They said you can use spiceberry, instead of allspice."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Combine flour, baking powder, spices and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Add pumpkin, honey, butter and eggs.
Step 4
Stir just until combined, don’t overmix.
Step 5
Stir in nuts and cranberries mixed with flour.
Step 6
Pour batter into a greased 6” x 9” bread pan.
Step 7
Bake approximately one hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 8
Remove loaf from pan and let cool on a baking rack. Loaf can be tightly wrapped in plastic or foil and frozen or refrigerated.
