Step 1
Combine all the ingredients, except butter mix well

Shape the mixture into walnut sized balls

In a large saucepan heat water to boiling
Step 4
Drop the dumplings in one at a time into rapidly boiling water

When they rise to the top, lift them out, drain well
Step 6
These may be served without frying them in butter but I like to brown them nicely and the butter adds to their flavour. Also, this step ensures that they are lovely and hot right through when you serve them
