Step 1: Combine all the ingredients, except butter mix well
Step 2: Shape the mixture into walnut sized balls
Step 3: In a large saucepan heat water to boiling
Step 4: Drop the dumplings in one at a time into rapidly boiling water
Step 5: When they rise to the top, lift them out, drain well
Step 6: These may be served without frying them in butter but I like to brown them nicely and the butter adds to their flavour. Also, this step ensures that they are lovely and hot right through when you serve them
