"These awesome skewers are sure to please. I first tried these at a pot luck dinner and just had to get the recipe. The host offered me her Thai Cooking cookbook to copy the recipe from. These can be broiled or grilled. For gluten free just make sure you are using gluten free soy sauce."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Soak wooden skewers in water to prevent them from burning.

Step 2

Combine all the ingredients except for pork together in a plastic bag.

Step 3

Add pork strips and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Step 4

Remove pork from bag and weave strips onto skewers.

Step 5

Warm up the grill and lightly grease the cooking surface with a bit of oil.

Step 6

Grill the skewers, brushing with the marinade after turning them for the first time.

Step 7

Grill until the meat is browned and sizzling and still tender.

Step 8

Serve alone or with peanut sauce.

I agree with Pat, the marinade is great. Can imagine it on chicken. I no longer have an outdoor grill but did these on my cast iron grill pan in a very hot oven and it worked great. Served with Kittencal’s Peanut Sauce from this site.

Will definitely be using the marinade from this recipe on chicken and steak it is just so good. I used a pork fillet and did a half recipe for the two of us and the DH cooked the skewers on the barbie for a really delicious and oh so quick meal. thank you QueenBea made for Alphabet Tag Game at FF&F.
