"I'm not sure of the origins of this recipe, but I've been using it for over 25 years. This is a sweeter pizza sauce, so add the sugar a little at a time until it's to your liking. You'll need to keep the lid on your pot just a little atilt to keep the sauce from splattering your stove. I get 2 medium pizzas from this recipe. It also freezes well."

Great pizza sauce. Loved the onion bits and the fact I can control the amoint of salt and sugar (didn't use any sugar). Great addition to our monthly pizza night.

I've gotten in the habit of buying quality cheese pizzas & then adding the toppings that we like, along with additional sauce & cheese, so your recipe here works out just great for that! And we do appreciate the sugar here! A keeper of a recipe, for sure! Thanks for sharing it!
