"This is easy to make and so good. You don't even have to drain the pineapple. You buy the pound cake and make the frosting which is also easy. I never frost the cake but put dollops of the tasty stuff on each slice, but you can layer it and frost between the layers. You just get more frosting the way I like it. This frosting is also good on a yellow sheet cake."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl put the whole can of pineapple, juice and all, and stir in the pudding; make sure it is blended well.

Step 2

Stir in the whipped topping and let stand for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Now you are ready to either slice the layers and frost or refrigerate the frosting until you want to put dollops on your cake. Either way is good.
