Easy and tasty. Comfort food for me. I cut my carrots up really thin and they were fine.

Five stars all the way. So simple and so delicious. The smell coming from the kitchen while the vegetables were boiling was fantastic. I'm going to add garlic to ALL my mashed potatoes from now on.

Excellent! I love the subtleness of the bay leaf. I should have read the reviews prior to cooking, because my carrots did turn out a bit underdone - but I loved it that way and thought they added to the texture (not so, DH). Next time, I'll slice them thinly, but hopefully they're still a bit harder than the potatoes. The only change I made is to add an additional clove of garlic - can NEVER have too much garlic! Thanks, Bea - for another great recipe!

We thoroughly enjoyed this recipe! I used baby carrots with were very sweet. The combo not only tasted great together but gave great color to the plate. I used red bliss potatoes instead of the russets as I already had a bag on hand. I will be making these again and again. Made for Billboard tag.
