" The soy sauce, ginger and garlic really compliment the asparagus. The original recipe was from the "Asparagus" website but they simmered the asparagus in stock so this is my version. I said this was a chinese recipe but that is really stretching it a bit!I use my mini chopper to mince the garlic and ginger Hope you try it and enjoy it"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450f

Step 2

Clean and prepare the asparagus and place on an oven proof dish covered in foil or parchment paper (Saves your wash up time). Spray lightly with olive oil

Step 3

Mix together the garlic, ginger, and soy sauce

Step 4

Just before roasting pour the soy sauce, garlic and ginger over the asparagus, place in oven and bake for 8 minutes. If you like your asparagus well cooked bake longer but be careful because the soy sauce will burn

The asparagus with the Asian flavours is awesome! Fast and easy to put together. I took your advice and wrapped it in parchment paper and cooked them for 8 minutes...the asparagus was skinny so didn't take anymore time than that to cook. DH loved it too!
