Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large bowl combine the softened margarine and peanut butter.
Step 2
Add the sugar, egg and vanilla to the bowl. Mix until it is smooth and fluffy. Combine the salt, baking soda, oatmeal, and flour. Mix into creamed mixture.
Step 3
Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. These cookies don't spread very well so flatten the cookies with a fork or the flat bottom of a cup which has been dipped into flour.
Step 4
Bake preheated oven 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
