Step by Step Method
Step 1
Bring lima beans to a boil in cold water.
Step 2
Let stand 1 hour.
Step 3
Brown sausage with chopped onion.
Step 4
Drain grease as needed.
Step 5
Drain beans, saving liquid.
Step 6
Put drained beans, sausage, tomato soup, barbecue sauce and sugar in a Pam sprayed 1 quart casserole dish.
Step 7
Add enough saved liquid to cover beans.
Step 8
Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour until thickened and bubbly but not dry.
