Step by Step Method

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Line two baking sheets with parchment

In a medium saucepan melt butter and sugar on medium low heat.

Stir frequently until mixture is liquid

Stir in oats, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. It will be thick and glossy in appearance and thicken the longer it sits.

Place 1 teaspoon of oat mixture on cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between for spread

Bake 8-9 minutes until golden on edges and flat
