Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2: Line two baking sheets with parchment
Step 3: In a medium saucepan melt butter and sugar on medium low heat.
Step 4: Stir frequently until mixture is liquid
Step 5: Turn off stove
Step 6: Stir in oats, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. It will be thick and glossy in appearance and thicken the longer it sits.
Step 7: Place 1 teaspoon of oat mixture on cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between for spread
Step 8: Bake 8-9 minutes until golden on edges and flat
Step 9: Cool completely on sheets
Step 10: Remove carefully
