  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Line two baking sheets with parchment

  • Step 3: In a medium saucepan melt butter and sugar on medium low heat.

  • Step 4: Stir frequently until mixture is liquid

  • Step 5: Turn off stove

  • Step 6: Stir in oats, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. It will be thick and glossy in appearance and thicken the longer it sits.

  • Step 7: Place 1 teaspoon of oat mixture on cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between for spread

  • Step 8: Bake 8-9 minutes until golden on edges and flat

  • Step 9: Cool completely on sheets

  • Step 10: Remove carefully
