Step 1
Combine first four ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2
Combine butter and both sugars, eggs, and vanilla and beat till light and fluffy and lemon-colored.
Step 3
Now add the flour mixture but don't overmix; lightly mix in the oatmeal and raisins.
Step 4
Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray and drop by a large tablespoon about 2" apart and bake in a 350 oven for about 10-13 minutes till golden, but don't overbake (you want them moist).
Step 5
Remove and let sit on sheet for a minute or two; move to wire rack to cool.
