"Don’t be afraid of the strange name, this is a popular Danish recipe for several reasons. It’s a really tasty dish that most kids enjoy, perhaps in part because of the funny name. It’s quick, easy, and cheap to prepare. We have always considered my father's family to be Irish, and my mother's Norwegian (my grandfather was born in Norway), but turns out we are SEVERAL generations removed from Ireland and my grandmother on dad's side had parents born in Denmark, so it looks like our heritage is actually more Dansih. Thanks to a hard working cousin who took up genealogy and discovered this. So I am learning more about Danish cooking. Recipe doesn't say what to serve this with, but I imagine pasta or mashed potatoes would work."
