Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl combine the whipping cream, mascarpone, 3 tablespoons sugar and juice and beat until soft peaks form.

Step 2

In a large serving bowl combine the berries, preserves, lemon peel and remaining sugar (1/2 cup); toss.

Step 3

Divide berry mixture among 8 serving dishes and top with the cream.

This was fantastic! I cut way back on the sugar (for tossing the fruit) because our fruit was already super sweet. A light, refreshing dessert!

This is a really lovely berry dessert! I opted to use the Limoncello, which I'm glad I did because the flavor of the whipped cream/mascarpone is optimum. I almost wish that I whipped it less, so as to have it softly drape over the berries, hugging them with all that deliciousness. I also used strawberries and blueberries because that's what I had available. My kids and husband enjoyed it as much as I did and I can see this as a perfect finale to a special (or anytime) dinner. Thank you, ellie, for sharing. Made it for Billboard Tag.
