Step 1: In a mixing bowl combine the whipping cream, mascarpone, 3 tablespoons sugar and juice and beat until soft peaks form.
Step 2: In a large serving bowl combine the berries, preserves, lemon peel and remaining sugar (1/2 cup); toss.
Step 3: Divide berry mixture among 8 serving dishes and top with the cream.
