"What's better than mashed potatoes for comfort food? Adding garlic and bleu cheese to them. I don't make this often, but I wish I could. You can peel the potatoes if you wish, but we like them left on."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Wash potatoes and cut into large chunks; place in a large saucepan with the garlic cloves and cover with water.
Step 2
Cover, and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes.
Step 3
Drain potatoes; add bleu cheese, milk, butter and pepper and coarsely mash with a potato masher or large fork.
Step 4
If potatoes seem too thick, add evaporated milk a teaspoon at a time until desired consistency.
